I have been a textile designer since 1984, when I started my career, later combining this work with my role as a university lecturer. I have worked in the fashion and interior design sectors, focusing on research and on the creation of textile collections and accessories. Deeply committed to environmental issues, I have oriented my work towards developing innovative solutions for recycling materials used in the textile industry.

 

Since 2000, I have been teaching Textile Science, Material Technology and sustainability-related subjects at the University of Florence and at other international universities, supporting students at bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate level. Over the years, I have worked as a consultant for numerous textile and fashion companies, contributing to the development of innovative ideas in design, printing procedures and finishing processes.

 

My collaboration with the Museo del Tessuto in Prato has played a key role in my career, allowing me to take part in major European projects dedicated to the development and promotion of the textile sector. I have advanced expertise in printing, dyeing and finishing techniques, as well as in graphic and textile design, and I am constantly engaged in researching solutions that promote environmental sustainability in both production processes and finished products.

 

I teach advanced courses in fashion business, textile design, fashion design, fashion styling and sustainability-related topics, with a solid command of digital tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, which enables me to integrate both traditional and innovative design processes.
